[ Guess who got caught in the latest storm without any sort of umbrella despite the way the weather has been for a while now... yeah, these idiots. ]

Wolfwood, come on! [ Vash has already shrugged out of his coat and is now trying to hold it up over Wolfwood's head as well as his own. It's not working out great. It might actually be making things worse. ]

[ why hello there, mister undertaker.

meryl couldn't leave you out of her little flower bouquet run, as much as she seriously thought about doing so. consider yourself lucky.

unfortunately, there aren't any naturally black flowers she can choose from, so it's hard associating him with colors like she could with vash, but oh well. the bouquet consists of an array of candytufts, yellow carnations, and lavender, all of which are... meant as their negative meanings, and don't particularly go well together visually. but she hides some blue salvia in the mix, a subtle way to tell him she's still thinking of him. look, it's hard for her to just outright give him a bunch of sweet, positive flowers, okay, and she's still a little salty about him up and ditching when vash was in danger. let her live, he's probably not even going to look up what they mean in the first place.

it's accompanied by an equally unsweet note, a symbol of their friendship, when it's left at his door: ]

[ so penny has successfully cleared the dungeon! she's collected stormblooms! she's said hi to the giant golem! ]

[ right now, she's just flying around with her thrusters and new wind powers! mostly gotten the hang of it. at least to get up and down. she sees a man up on the golem's back, with the goats ]

[ and then he's bucked right off. rather than fall to certain doom, penny opts to zip right in there, arms outstretched to catch him ]

Careful! That's a long fall.

[ is wolfwood getting caught and princess held by a robot girl that's more than half a foot shorter than him? he sure is!! ]

[ swoon.... ]

[ Vash stands outside of the suite door, shifting his weight from left to right. It's been a few days, and in that time he's deleted an embarrassing number of half-complete text messages that never seem to come out right. Coming here is probably a mistake, and maybe Wolfwood will just kick him right back out... but Vash has to know, at least, if Wolfwood never wants to talk to him again.

He's sort of grateful that his stomach is empty, because the low-grade nausea couldn't possibly get worse, no matter how nervous he gets. He knocks. He chews the inside of his lip, and then: ] Wolfwood, are you there?
